I partnered with a long-standing HR technology provider to reimagine their core HR, payroll, and benefits platform through an AI-first, prototype-driven redesign. The new experience is a modern, mobile-first interface layered with intelligent assistance, predictive insights, and automation embedded across key workflows. The prototype explored intelligent recommendations and automated exception handling to reduce manual effort for HR teams while giving employees clearer, faster paths to what they need.
AI First Features:
Role-Aware Launch Tiles - Benefits, Payroll, HR Resources, Messages, and Employees tiles show only what each user can act on.
Universal Command Search - "What can I do here?" search jumps straight to tasks, policies, and forms.
Top Apps, Auto-Ranked - Frequently used apps bubble up automatically to cut navigation time.
Personalized Cost Modeling (AI) - Uses historical claims to pre-fill usage and project total cost with confidence bands.
Explainable Recommendation - Shows a confidence score and top drivers (e.g., Rx usage, network needs) for trust at a glance.
AI First Features:
Exception-First Dashboard (AI) - Flags anomalies like overtime spikes or location mismatches with reason tags.
Auto-Approve at Scale - "Ready to Auto-Approve" safely commits low-risk items using policy + anomaly thresholds.
Auto-Extraction & Eligibility (AI OCR) - Reads receipts/EOBs, splits line items, and tags what's eligible instantly.
Risk-Scored Queue - Prioritizes "High Risk" or "Doc Missing" items; safe claims flow straight through.
Agent Assistant Recommendations - Drafts approve/deny rationales with confidence and explainability details.
